Academic Calendar
The academic year starts on 1st September and ends on 31st August of the next calendar year. The educational activities of each academic year are arranged in two semesters, the winter and the spring one. Each study semester comprises of 13 weeks of educational activities. The end of each semester is followed by an exam period with a duration of three weeks.

14th September: Holy Cross Exaltation – Feast of the city’s Patron Saint 28th October: National celebration 17th November: Students’ uprising in the National Technical University of Athens against the junta in 1973. Christmas Holidays: 23th December – 6th January 30th January: The Three Patron Saints of Education Day |
Spring Semester Start date: 24/02/2025 End date: 11/07/2025 (Exam period is included)
No lectures are given during the following days:
25th March: National celebration 3rd March: Ash Monday: 1st day of Great Lent throughout Eastern Christianity Easter Holidays: from the Monday of Easter Holly Week to the Sunday after Easter Sunday 14th – 27th April: Easter Holidays 1st May: Labour Day 9th June : Holy Spirit Day (Monday after Pentecost) |
